NAIDOC PROJECTS

Celebrate NAIDOC Week with Djinda Kaal

Djinda Kaal is dedicated to celebrating NAIDOC Week through a series of special projects that highlight the rich cultural heritage and history of the Noongar people. These projects are designed to engage communities in meaningful ways, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture. Each year, we organise a variety of events and activities, including art exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and cultural workshops. These initiatives provide an opportunity for people of all ages to connect with Aboriginal traditions and learn about the significant contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Australian society.

During NAIDOC Week, Fiona Reidy’s artwork takes centre stage, showcasing her unique blend of contemporary and traditional Aboriginal art. Her vibrant pieces, often featuring 3D imagery, serve as a powerful medium for storytelling and cultural expression.

The projects are not only about celebrating the past but also about inspiring future generations to keep Aboriginal culture alive and thriving. Join us in these celebrations and experience the beauty and depth of Aboriginal art and culture through Fiona’s compelling works.
